This coffee comes from Finca Lérida, a historic coffee estate located in Alto Quiel, Boquete, Panama, and produced by the Amoruso Family. The estate has been producing coffee for almost a century, first exporting its coffee to Germany in 1929. Today, the Amoruso family continues to develop Lérida as a specialty coffee estate, with a strong focus on careful cultivation, selective harvesting, and maintaining the natural environment surrounding the farm.

At 1800 masl, this lot is grown among the high-elevation mountains of Boquete, where cool temperatures and significant differences between warm days and cool nights create a slow and stable cherry maturation process. The high elevation extends the development of the coffee cherries, allowing sugars, acids, and aromatic compounds to accumulate gradually. Finca Lérida's plantations reach some of the highest elevations in the region, with its Geisha production benefiting from these distinct mountain conditions.

This lot is composed of the Geisha varietal, a variety celebrated for its distinctive floral aromatics, bright acidity, and delicate fruit character. At high elevations in Boquete, Geisha can express particularly clear and layered profiles, often showing notes of white flowers, citrus, stone fruit, and tea-like sweetness. The combination of the varietal and Lérida's high-altitude terroir gives this lot a particularly elegant and aromatic character.

The coffee is processed using the washed method, beginning with the careful selection of only ripe cherries before they are depulped and fermented. The coffee is then thoroughly washed to remove the remaining mucilage before being slowly dried on raised beds. This process removes much of the fruit from the coffee before drying, allowing the varietal character and growing conditions to come through with greater clarity. Lérida is known for its meticulous cherry selection and careful washed processing, which help preserve the clean and delicate qualities of its high-grown Geisha lots.

In the cup, this coffee presents layers of white grapes and white peach, followed by a delicate orange blossom character. The combination of high elevation, Geisha genetics, and washed processing creates a clean and refined cup with bright fruit sweetness, floral aromatics, and a lingering finish.
